Hello, we’re deep into the heart (or heat) of summer. We have a class coming up quick, lots of new art available in the Garden Gallery, and two exciting new artworks in our permanent sculpture collection. Read on to learn more.
Taking Care of your Garden Tools Class, August 13th
Outdoors, 1–2:30 pm Sat., August 13
Bring your favorite garden clippers or pruner. Presenter Owen Sarmany will have all the supplies to show you how to take the tool apart, clean it, sharpen the blade(s), and put the tool all back together. Owen attends the Lake Washington Institute of Technology Horticulture program and has much experience using and taking care of garden tools. Free (donations accepted).
Garden art available
We’re offering garden art by several local artists, including new work by Marilyn Wagner and Nancy Davis, and from Stan Richardson a lovely sculpture by Sandra Richardson.

New art additions in the gardens
We’re thrilled to have two new sculptures in the garden: ‘Verbascum’ by Jean Whitesavage and Nick Lyle and a Bird Tree by Arnie Garborg given to us by a friend of Bassetti’s Gardens.

Come visit Saturdays through September
We are open through the end of September on Saturdays from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm. Along with artwork in the Garden Gallery, some alpine plants and dwarf evergreen trees available for sale. We hope you can come enjoy the gardens and art.
Take care,
Leanette
