Creating a Mosaic Garden

If you have been thinking about trying mosaics and, you love to garden, this class is the best of both worlds. During your 2 days with Mosaic Artist, Patricia Franklin, you will learn how to nip (cut) a beautiful assortment of tesserae (stained glass) into various shapes and sizes of flower petals, stems, and leaves. You will finish day one by gluing these pieces on to a clay pot and making a mosaic garden of glass. On day two, you will tape, grout and clean your work of art — ready to try your next project! All supplies (including your own double wheeled nippers — a must!) will be supplied by Patty for an additional fee of $35.00.

Patty is a self taught Mosaicist with a studio in Woodinville. Her artwork can be seen at www.thefranklinhouse.com. Her garden art is on display in the Bassetti’s Crooked Arbor Gardens Gallery.
