About Nancy Davis:
My love of mosaics began years ago. My mother started a large mosaic over 50 years ago and I completed it 45 years later. I have dabbled in all sorts of arts and crafts over the years. Pottery, ceramics, macramé, stained glass…..finally settling on mosaics, which combine elements of the other disciplines. I live in a retirement park in Mesa, AZ during the Winter (8 months) where I teach stained glass and mosaics. In the Summer I escape the heat and join my daughter in Carnation, WA.
My favorite mosaics are concrete stepping stones and garden rocks. Truthfully, the stones are so beautiful very few people use them as actual stepping stones, but rather display them vertically for the design to be viewed and enjoyed by everyone who visits their garden. I use stained glass, broken china and pottery, ceramic tiles of all shapes and sizes, shells, wire, chain, glass beads…..mixed media.
I am so happy and honored to display my work at Bassetti’s Crooked Arbor Gardens for the past few years. If you wish to see some of my previous work you can find me at Nancy’s Yard Art on Facebook.
